Cayman Islands: The Caribbean Paradise

caymanThe Cayman Islands (pronounced /ˈkeɪmæn/ or /ˈkeɪmən/) s located in the western Caribbean Sea. The islands are British overseas territory.  The Cayman Islands are composed of the Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. In the Caribbean, the island is the major offshore financial centre.

Caribbean’s Cayman Islands is a sun-drenched blissful getaway. This Overseas Territory of Britain has a pace of life that seems to not exist. The beaches are purely stunning.

The beautiful island is located in the western Caribbean. Stretching out between Cuba and Jamaica , these three islands are actually small, but they draw a huge number of different travelers. Cayman Islands definitely are the ultimate in Caribbean luxury where sea, sun and sand abound.

During holidays, leaving the beaches of Cayman Islands is not an option for most, for the beaches is absolutely splendid, surrounded by the Caribbean’s warm and sparkling turquoise waters. The island is known for its generous scuba diving as well as deep-sea fishing. Divers visit this small wonderland from all over the world since scuba diving of Cayman Islands is considered as among the world’s best. It has enormous sinking coral reefs, a substantial range of sea life and surprising visibility. Exploration of the riches that lie underneath is not limited to the divers. Little submarines or snorkeling are possible options for the exploration of the beauty down under. Water sports are all ready to be experienced from the cottages of Cayman Islands too.

Amazingly, the tiny islands offer an enormous number of fascinations. The astonishing rock formations at the Hell, seems to reveal so much of  how the region came to be called,  Run Point’s flat sands, Stingray City  and the attention-grabbing blowholes all contributes to the great appeal of the island.

The Cayman Brac also appears to be the best place for hiking. It houses many caves that are ready to be explored, just about 150 bird species to watch out for (including the exceptional Cayman Parrot) and loads of views that should forever be remembered.

The largest island among the three is the Grand Cayman. It is an island of impressive native beauty. Facilities are all-embracing, thus standard equates luxury in this largest Cayman Island.  The Caribbean’s best shopping; finest cuisine and most stirring nightlife can be enjoyed at George Town, the islands’ capital. The incredible “National trust Mastic Trail”, “Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Gardens” and the “Seven Mile Beach” also top notches the list of beautiful spots from the villas of Grand Cayman.

Little Cayman is the tiny island. It is sparingly populated thus, offering perfect solitude under the hot Caribbean sun. Diverse beautiful creatures like the exotic birds and colorful iguanas live harmoniously in the untouched tropical forests of Little Cayman.  Their beaches are quiet and peaceful, the fishing and diving definitely are breath taking. There are around 50 exclusive dive sites in Little Cayman, where Jackson Point Bloody’s pure coral walls and Bay Marine Park as the forerunners.

On the other hand, Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands boasts of its most awesome scenery. Grottos and caves scattered over the island. Cayman Brac is especially good for potholing, the Caribbean bird watching, and also scuba diving. Unbelievable wreck dives are available. The M/V Captain Keith Tibbetts, a Russian frigate submerged at the bottom of the sea, is an incredible example.

Cayman Islands’ climate is amazingly stable, with its daily temperatures averaging from a sunny 31C in August, and few degrees less in January (around 28C), as the coldest time of the year.

Grand Cayman, the largest and most developed, has a population of about 35,000. It is 8 miles at its widest point and 76 square miles or 22 miles long. Grand Cayman is about 90 miles away from Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, on the other hand, are separated by only 5 miles.

The Cayman Islands definitely is a Caribbean vacation adventure for people of all ages. The islands are safe, relaxing and tranquil. Most importantly, the Cayman Islands are home to some of the friendliest people in the Caribbean. No wonder the beautiful paradise is constantly visited and experienced by people from the different corners of the earth.
